Big allen head socket?

Anyone know what size allen head socket is needed for a early gen 1 fork
for the top bolt under the cover? 16mm or a 17mm? thanks

If you don't want to buy the allen key you could get a metric bolt with the proper sized head and two jamnuts. 12mm bolt should have a 17mm head

I use a 3" 12mm bolt with two jam nuts, I can't remember why I have 2 jam nuts, but I do.:confused2:
