Starting to strip my engine to get at 2nd gear and find bits of hard plastic below the oil pump screen. Any idea what its from?

Cam tensioner? Something around the alternator?

Looks more like the hard rubber guide that was around the oil spray bar sticking out the block from the oil pump. It is supposed to spray on the stator.

The scavenging line running from the small side of the oil pump?
That still has the rectangular rubber block

This is a much harder plastic that shattered/broke away

Yea, that's the one. Can you get a scale or something next to it for size?

I got the same idea as sean initially too.

Looks like part of the cam chain guides....not the tensioner tho.

I found out what they're off... the side of a cam chain guide - the front one that is pushed by the tensoiner, I don't think there is anything to be worried about
It looks like I scratched the side of one while I was putting the head back on the last time I was inside the engine
