I don't have a vac brake bleeder. I was wondering if we have a sticky on the best way to bleed the fluid. Mine hasn't been done in years I'm sure. It looks like dark coffee in color.

I did a search but it came up short - or did I miss it...? If you have a good link on this please post it. I think I know the best (ez) manual way to do it however it never hurts to ask.

Thanks.

I would get a Mityvac, they aren't that expensive. You're asking for trouble in just using the lever to push the old fluid out. Another option is to use Speedbleeders.

I got a family member out of town - who has one of those vacs, I will be seeing them next weekend for my father-in-law's birthday. But the wife is putting her foot down that this is not a work on the bike party.....fuc ! I'd tell her to piss off but her dad's health is not very good at all so I better not push it.

He told me to come out and he'll get'r'done, so I just might have to slip out to his place early before they all show up. The bike comes first right guys ! :biglaugh:

Yeah... I do my brake and clutch at least every year on my bikes. WAY to important to let it go in my mind.

The mity-vac is the best/cheapest way to get it done and done well.

They are 40 bucks at Auto-Zone.

Rob, I have one if you want to come borrow it, then you can pick up your shirt!

I did it yesterday. Thanks anyways Buster, I'll have to remember that.

The fluid was almost as dark as coke ( cola ). I used a syringe to suck out the old crap then refilled then just bleed them the old fashion way. What's done is done till next year.
