Brake Pad Insulators Necessary

You guys know if #s 3, 4, and 6 are critical? 3/6 is called a brake pad shim, 4 is called a brake pad insulator. I must've threw them away with the old pads and my new EBC Double-H Sintered pads didn't include those pieces. Guess I should note it's the rear brake.

They aren't "needed" for safe operation. They can help reduce brake noise. So, ride it first and see how it does.

Appreciate it friend. Took it for a spin and didn't notice anything unusual.
Have a longer ride scheduled for tomorrow and feel better about going ahead with it.

I mistakenly did the same thing and never had any issues, I’d bet your good to go

The shims on my first gen were really bad, so I removed them without any ill effect.
