Broken Bleeder

Anybody use one of the harley type bleeder repair kits to helicoil in a new fitting. I hace a Buse caliper and the goodrich speed bleeder broke off in the dam caliper?

You can't drill the center just large enough to work it loose?

Like Jf said ,drill the hole larger, but then get an ease out that will go atleast 3/8" deep into the bleedout and apply pressure. Too much pressure will break the ease out and then it will have to go to the machine shop. Or send it to Sean Morley, he has a good batting average at getting broken parts out............

If you are going to try and drill it then use a LH drill (runs counter clockwise) which will help the thread come out as you drill.

If you have a mig welder mig a beed ontop of broken bleeder enough to grab w vice grips it will come right out. Must do it right away while super hot I've done this many times over the years on cars n it works every time. Just make sure your welding bleeder only or you'll be screwed meaning don't weld bleeder to caliper. It won't work if bleeder are aluminum.
