Hi guys this is regarding the lip that runs on the outside of The carburetor diaphragm, Does the lip go in towards the carburetor or out towards the cover I would think the lip goes towards the carburetor in the groove, I've seen some photos with it both ways let me know thanks

It goes in the groove.
That's what I did It makes sense for it to go That way I wanted to be sure thank you for the reply, I saw a lot of photos with new diaphragms on new slides and it shows the lip on the outside that's what got me wondering

Can you post one of those photos?

Not endorsing this product but this is the correct orientation. In fact...without some modification these won't work worth a damn!

dannymax, that is exactly how I put my slides in, and now the diaphragm caps won't fit!

I think it's a manufacturing error! 🤯 🤔

I looked at some photos as I look closer maybe I was wrong, or maybe I looked at the photo with the diaphragm folded over and I thought it was wrong here's some photos I was looking at

The first and last photos are correct...can't tell for sure with the others.
Bottom line...when the slide goes into the carb body the outside diameter lip must face downward to fit in the casting groove. The inside diameter also has a lip which also faces downward mating with a groove in the bottom plastic ring (usually grey in color).

I could have swore I saw some photos with the lip facing outward but maybe I just looked at the photos quickly and I thought the lip faced outward anyway just wanted to make sure thanks guys
