The way I did it was the safest: I took paper, and wrote down what each part was next to it as I removed it.
For parts that had to be removed all at once, I made four boxes on paper and numbered them 1-4. I also numbered each carb body after cleaning them.
When it came to really tearing down each carb, I chose to do one at a time so there could not be any possible confusion as to which part went to each carb.
