Found a old corbin on craigslist cheap so I thought I would try something with it. Since my hand wont fit down that lil hole to fill it up :bang head: and alot people just lift the whole seat off I figure I don't the hole anyways:confused2: so I shaped it and lowered it in the front some and raised the rear about a inch trying to make it look a lil a stock seat.. Its not covered yet just put something on it to try out this weekend on along ride and see how it does:confused2: tell me what you think guys :ummm:

I heard that Mike Corbin is hiring foam guys. I have a Corbin saddle on my 98 Max and I like the subtle reshape. Good work right there.

Someone else on this site did something like this in covering the hole. Don't think they reshaped the seat though. Hopefully they will see this post and chip in...

I came home from Thunder with a new Max Gasser seat. I wish I'd bought it long ago. It's very comfortable, and looks good. The next long ride will be great.

Is the blue some fabric? If you don't cut and sew the cover to fit the contours, I think it will 'bag and sag.' A good prep job, from the series of pics. I have a couple of Corbins and mine work well for me as they are, I have one flapper & one plug. The flapper design is better looking. The plug one is heavy-duty leather. Then again, the stocker never really bothered me for comfort.

I will be interested to see how you finish it.

This is the corbrick I reshaped five or six years ago, then the VP of mustang made a cover for me. The seat may be worth a small fortune some day because mustang never made a vmax seat and this one has the mustang logo stamped into it.

you have a CorbinMustangMaxgasser seat..:rofl_200: that seat will be cool to have one day down the road for show and tell when you can say all 3 of the seat builders had a hand it in way or the other kinda cool when you think about:worthy:

That is a cool looking seat. If I was not poor I would try & beat you out of it.

I have a number in my head, it may not be realistic but its A number. I honestly think the value may be more from legal Ramifications if Corbin saw the mustang stamp on it. I've thought about putting it on eBay to see what it might bring but it could open a can of worms that I'm not willing to open........................just yet!

Not much like a Maxgasser seat, its just designed by the same guy. The cover was all Gary, the VP of design and he's been at mustang from the beganing . I was surprised to see the mustang stamp on it when I got it back from him after doing the cover.

I just noticed the Vmax sewn into the nose of the saddle. You guys ever see the price of prototype cars that somehow avoided the crusher? I wish there was a book with just mock ups or prototypes from all the big car builders.

When in doubt...Gas it !!!

I am sure your number is quite accurate & you could get the number for it but me being a single guy working out of a 2 car garage that I am not supposed to be working in there is no way I could come close.

Looks pretty good. I know a lot of Shadow ACE owners will reshape the stock seat rather than buy an aftermarket one.

Has anyone considered the Plasti-Dip spray as a covering? From what I hear, that stuff will stick like glue to foam and will last a good, long time. Especially if you use multiple layers.
