For a lot of us, this image is an indelible part of our psyche. Tomorrow marks twenty years, and it's hard to believe the time has gone by so fast, and so much has changed in one short generation.

I've seen a lot of things in my life, but few examples of human spirit have humbled me so completely as this one. Take a moment to remember that wherever the will to act in defiance resides, there lives liberty as well.

Saw the news a little while ago, there's a big effort going on to block newscasters from broadcasting from the square. People with umbrellas blocking the cameras, the internet is shut down, not much info coming out of there right now.
