That guy is insane. All it takes is one car turning or changing lanes and he is toast!
Years ago on my morning commute, saw a rider weaving in and out of traffic and using the shoulder to get past all the traffic (Dallas). Told my then wife he wouldn't live to be an old man. About two weeks later, he went from the shoulder across two lanes and rear-ended a car that stopped suddenly (as cars do in rush hour traffic!!). He flew off and was run over by a semi. Died on the spot.
Riding today, saw a guy on a sport bike (looked like an R1) weaving in and out of traffic on Central Expressway (Dallasites know this BUSY hiway). He would cut across and weave through with only inches to spare. He is another that won't live to a ripe old age....

Honestly, I doubt it. People who ride like that, in that kind of traffic are so hyper-confident in themselves they don't think they'll ever crash and probably don't even think it's all that dangerous.
But Tim's right on here.....texting is now probably now the biggest hazard on the road. As if bimbos talking on cell phones weren't bad enough, now they have to text twitter updates(everyone needs to know you're in traffic and it really sucks), post status updates, and of course message friends, since it's not like you have anything better to do while driving, y'know, like actually drive the damn car. And he's also right about the losing the cops thing....it is pretty fun. But you shouldn't do it...it's......uh.....reckless and irresponsible use of your Vmax's power.
What's worse than a 500lb motorcycle driving recklessly? A 6000lb SUV being driven recklessly by a douche texting facebook updates.
I'm pretty sure NY just passed a "no texting" law, but it's a total joke, just like the hands-free law. Impossible to enforce, and it's like a $50 fine if the extremely unlikey event they catch you. I think if you cause an accident and were found to have been on a cell phone, it's equal to a DWAI. Cell phones impair your ability to drive, why not put them in with the drunk/stoned drivers?

I enlarged the video and cranked up the volume "big boom box" ......sat reall close, and watched the vid. It was like you were on the bike. I found my self leaning to the left and right watching it,.. then I got a little nervous about 1/2 way through the vid and backed away from the screen. Son of a gun..thats an intense dam ride. I'm going to down load it and play it on my buddies 52 inch screen with surround sound this week end. See who cringes first lol.
P.S.... thats as close as I want to get to that kind of riding..yikes.

I hear ya Tim! While I was enjoying meeting everyone at '10 Brownie Run and Spring Icebreaker we had a terribly tragic accident on a road I ride down daily about 3 miles from my house.
