I've done some searching around, and I've seen talk of using R1 or Keihin flatslides or similar carbs. But these carbs generally don't come in the "square four" arrangement to fit the V4 VMX engine. How would one go about getting these carbs in such an arrangement to fit this engine? I figure that custom brackets and throttle linkages will need to be made. Does anyone have a procedure or pictures of how to do this kind of thing?

Keihin and Mikuni set ups already exist for VMAX (check PCW, exactrep or Moto-boutique) Unless you want to build your own

I didn't realize they were available ready to go. Looking at PCW, good gravy they're not cheap.

Suppose I need to go the poor boy route, which I do. I refer to this old thread. How would one go about making these fit a VMX? I don't figure the brackets to hold them will be too difficult for me. But I could use some ideas on how to make throttle linkage.
