custom slipons, link pipe or not?

hello

going to get price for a custom slip-ons, same look as stock.
should i ask to make a link pipe or is something that is no worth the work(and price)?
what does it affect?

I would not bother if just doing slip-ons. The front pipes are already linked. You could try and link the rear pipes as well but it will be difficult and keep enough clearance for swingarm.

They need to be run like the stock exhaust (certain cylinders tied together for savaging) Cobra slip ons DONT have that, and so you lose HP with those.

yes,i will say the guy to make them like stock setup,aside from the link pipe.
if i plan to do headers sometime will it be bad to not have the link pipe?what is the purpose?
