Well went for a little ride on the wing today and found a kamikaze deer. I got real lucky he jumped and i just hit his hind quarter. It put me in a little wobble but i kept it upright things could have went much worse so i am happy. It messed up more than what shows in the pictures but bikes can be fixed.

At least you're alright, equipment is always replaceable. At least you have an expert under your roof to get it fixed back up for you!

Glad you were able to keep it upright and avoid injury, they are indeed suicidal, not very bright but make great sausage and jerky. Now you have your deer collision out of the way.

Well Progressive is on the move the Adjustor just left here so I should have a estimate by Monday afternoon so I can start fixing it. He seems to think they are goinng to fix it but I dont think he knows how much some of them parts cost.

Well I want to give Progressive some props ! We had an agreed value on this bike & they stood by it with no arguments ! There was nothing mechanical wrong with the bike all cosmetic, They sent me an email this morning saying they were sending a check for $ 4100 dollars minus my deductible which made it 3900 ( I am rounding off number to lower ) I emailed & showed him he was off on parts & he already emailed back saying he was sending an addtional $ 500 for his mistakes so I have no complaints right now they have been perfect & quick.:eusa_dance:

The deer got me motivated to paint it. I got about half of it done today. I had the brightest white base mixed I could get & went over it with lots of white pearl & then followed over that with blue pearl. I cant really get any good pictures in the garage the pictures just don't do it justice. I will try & some in the sun later.

I also ditched the stock radio & got an adaptor plate & am putting a Kenwood Bluetooth marine stereo on it. I got some new pipes to & a lot of new chrome. It is going to be like a new bike to me when I am done.

I like a white bike. I also like pearl paint. Yours looks like it's gonna be great in appearance.

I had a BMW R100RT (an RS but w/a taller, wider fairing) which was pearl white, I had it repainted the same color. Riding it on the expressway, I'd be behind a car or truck, and suddenly the vehicle in-front would pull to the right. I finally realized drivers who watched their rear were mistaking it for a 'motorman,' a bike-police officer. :biglaugh:

I had them big driving lights on the front of this one that I always thought were ugly & useless at night unless you were on a back road. I started using them for daytime running lights. I am wondering if it did not look like a police bike coming from behind because people always moved right out of my way.

I was not going to put them back on but man it sure seems like people notice them so I ordered a new set for it.
