Can any one help me?
I have recently brought a 92 vmax and have some DIY wiring attached to the v-boost control unit which goes up to the clocks wiring loom. The v-boost kicks in at 6,000 rpm and there is no T-boost switch, so what is this wiring for?:ummm:

I can't likely answer your question so asking this is likely pointless, but for ***** and giggles, here goes. When you say the 'Clocks wiring loom' - what are you referring too?

Some DIY t-boost setups don't have a toggle switch and are hard wired to open at 3000.

being your vboost still opens at 6k, I'm thinking it might be some leftover DIY t-boost wireing from the previous owner.

thats what i was thinking, but there are no disconnected wires and no signs of cables that have been spliced from a removed system. its just 3 wires black, gray and brown.

Unhook them. If anything starts running backwards or making loud ticking noises, run like the dickens. :confused2:

If you're running on the stock vboost unit now, there shouldn't be any reason to keep that wiring.

I have now found out what my wiring problem is- i am living in the UK and my bike is a Canadian import from new, so to make the bike UK spec the original dealers have fitted a euro wiring loom (which does not come with T-Boost) and wired in the T-Boost them selves
problem solved
