Radiator cover fitted and have made some crash bar/highway pegs.
I have yet to make the pegs but dummy test fitted the bracket which I roughly painted with a rattle can to get a feel of the look in black. I have now made a jig to produce more of them.
The bike is about to get stripped apart for the mods to begin.

Nice , have you had many views on trademe , have you put any on here or ebay . Nice crash bars too , by the way did you figure out your vboost was it kicking in early ? :punk:

Made the exhaust this weekend, seems ok , there is still a lot more work to do before chroming it (or powdercoating) I have this picture just after dummy fitting it.
There is a clip of it running in the exhaust forum.
Started pulling stuff off for chrome and ordered some new wheels which I have to machine bits up to suit the rear drive.

It's obvious when you say your going do something, you get it done!

Now that the bike is in pieces, the fun times begin, the build. Looking forward to more pictures and updates.

Got most of the bits back from powdercoating. The faux tank has actually been powdercoated also, this is a base coat as I'm doing graphics and then it gets sealed with clear.
I made the velocity stacks or ram tubes if you prefer from stainless and got them coated the same as the frame. The rear brackets are 2 tone using the same silver as the faux tank.

Man , thats gonna look really good with those wheels not to mention that front end . Did you take a pic of the Max when you picked it up ?

Yes, there are a few shots of it when I got it. I forgot to show the carb covers and
highway brackets , done in the same colour or color (depending which side of the planet you live)

I love that color blue... Should look the bees knees! Can't wait to see it completed...

Time for an update: Swingarm is now finished as also the 18" Harley wheel.
I'm waiting for my brake rotor adaptor to come back from chrome, it will use the larger R1 style wavey disc and you might see I've mounted the caliper directly to the arm, ie: no caliper arm required.
Shock mounts are no longer the stock position as the arm is + 80mm although the shock position will no be relocated the same amount.

The pictures just show the mock up situation.

Got the motor sort -of in the frame with the solid mounts, only rear bolted at this stage. Get the valve covers back tomorrow, other engine covers are being chromed right now and replace these.
