There is a reason why the generation that lived thru the great depression and WW2 are called the greatest generation. They faced adversity and did what it took to come out on top. Every generation since then has been subsequently weaker.

From what I've been told, Gen X (which I am a part of) about 50% have a good work ethic, for Gen Y....less than that.

IMHO, the greatest generation was not as strong as the one that came before it. You learn from your strong parents ( plural ) . Single moms or dads don't have great odds when it comes to raising chillen or being as successful in life as possible. I started working at a large greenhouse nursery at age 14 for .75 cents an hour. It was 140 degrees during the summer and we were hoeing concrete by hand in a big trough for footers and flooring . I learned at that early age , a good education was my new goal . 66 and still working and riding and playing golf whenever possible. Retirement doesn't seem to be in my immediate future. I would probably croak if forced to sit on the porch.

I can believe that. I am a "baby boomer" and I am ashamed to say that I live in one of 11 states where the people on the Gov't dole outnumber the people who actually work for a living.

I believe they know exatily what there doing.Doing there best to keep us angry confused and misinformed,While they promote fear and threats at every corner,That's how they are doing the gun control thing.Promote fear,The news the shootings,The bombings Ect ect.They know exatly what there doing.Misinformation is one of there primary tools!Dave you know this.First it was Iraq and wmd's.Really was for control of there oil,Afganstain,More control over natural resources,Now it's sryia guess what's there lithum and a shitload of it.And oil.Save the people ********!They want power And control.As far as the national dept ,They could care less,The people who live here are paying,Gonna get worse before it get's better!!!
