I shouldn't say dummies because I almost fell into the bidding trap, and I am probably bidding against some of you guys:hmmm:

Anyway, I have been trying to pick up a backrest for the VMax, as the wife fears the tail light riding maneuver. I think it would be a swell trick!

I have been trying to get a good used one for Under $250. The last two have sold for $260 - $270 range.. Some of them have flaws in the finish. List price at Yamaha is $348.

That is the last one I gave up on. $290! !! ! !

Here is the worthwhile part of my post, I went on a search and found this!
$261.71 Brand new!

Have you looked at the removable sissybar from www.ricepaddy.com ?I have one and love it.On and back off in 2 minutes.Uses the stock grab bar and matches nicely.

I don't think they show it on their website but if you call them they have them.If you need pics I can post some later.Others here have them too.

I guess I should have asked. I called them and they never got pictures to me. I like the sound of 2 minutes removable. I already ordered the Yamaha one :ummm:

Ok if you are already going with a stock one,You can get a low aluminum u-shaped back bar that will bolt right onto your new grab bar in place of the back rest from a virago. They are 5 or 6 inches high and do not have a pad. They look really cool and can be swapped back and forth with your backrest when riding a passenger or not. I'll find a pic and post it.

I have no idea what the virago part number is though but I am sure we can find it.

Here's some pics courtesy of Mr.Max from New York.I love his hood scoops.

I'll also bet that headlight throws some light!
