ebay engine sliders okay?

I can't figure out if a $40 engine slider would be "sufficient" for things like tip overs at a stop sign or something. I understand I could spend $250 or so, I can't seem to make that decision. Thank you.

Gen 1 or 2? I am guessing Gen 2? There are a few types out there but not sure how well they will hold up to a moving crash versus a parking lot tip over (which likely they all will do ok).
