engine finish

Can anyone tell me what the finish of the 2007 engine/frame is?

Matte?
Satin?
Wrinkle? ( i am thinking not)

Want to re-finish my 96 gloss engine to the 07 look.

It's definitely not a glossy finish.
I would say it's a satin finish.

hello ski, i have a 06 and the engine and frame is a satin black finish ,or flat black. it also resembles wood stove black .what i think is cool is that satin black radiates heat better than any other color including gloss black, plus it looks great on the max . buckridge

The frame is a satin black finish with very small metal flake in it.
