Hi Folks,

Today I drove a little while in the rain. Not my usual thing to do....

But after a while I noticed that the engine during idle so once in a while run lower in rpm and sounded like he mist a cylinder. Only for one or two firerings.

My first idea was maybe some moister somewhere. But where is the place to look for this moister and can I do something with contact spray in electric connectors:ummm:

I check it again when the bike is dry and the engine is cooled down. If the problem is solved by then I know pretty shore it was a moister problem.

But offcourse any recomendations are welcome!!

Greetzzzzz

The first places I'd check would be in the spark plug caps. And be sure the little drain holes that drain the plug area in the head are all open and not collecting water.

This evening, after a night standing in the garage, I tryed the max again.
When cold it ran smooth until the temp raise nair coolingfan swithed on and then the problem started again. missing so once in a while and rpm dropping. After I pulled on sparkplug during runing it dropped further and I could feel litlle electrics running throug my hands. Is this last thing (electrics throug my hand) normal? or does this mean the caps and maybe the plug wires are bad? This all happend while the conditions where dry.

If it begins dropping a cylinder, occasionally, only after the fan switches itself on, you are most likely suffering from low voltage. It can clear up above the 2500 rpm range sometimes, because the stock voltage R/R will then begin to develop enough voltage to make the ECU happy. Check your voltage at idle speed. Should be above 13.25v, and more is better.

There are whole threads dealing with things you can do to improve the charging system and eliminate this problem.

I measured the voltage and if it runs idle it's 10,25 volts. Way to low I would say. When the fan swith on it drops to 10V
Above the 2500rpm it 12,5V and up.
If the enige is not running it's 10,5V
Could this mean a bad generator or maybe a bad battery?
