Fazer Info - Help Needed

I know there are some fans of the FZX 750 Fazer who live in this forum and I need your help.

I have the opportunity to buy a well priced low kms Fazer for my next project.

I want to build the bike pictured and I'd like more information about it.

I have seen a similar project bike on the net but all I have are three pictures and I can't remember where I found these.

I'm pretty sure it was on a V-max chat site where the Fazer was referred to a a 'Baby V-max'.

All I know is that the builders name is Mark (pictured).

Can anyone help :ummm:

Yes, Shawn bought one of me earliest Fazers. We still have a few Fazer parts around here and will be unvieling a new build this spring. Nothing too radical like the pictured one. We have one with an 8" over arm with 1029cc engine on Nitrous. It's dang fun to ride. I do still have a very nice OEM windscreen I want to sell if you get interested.

I've even got one 1029 engine left on hand.

I have no idea what an OEM screen for the FZX even looks like. Do you have a pic :ummm:

I would like to know more about the rear frame geometry on the fazer pictured if anybody has any more info.

Send me an email request and i'll send more pics - [email protected]. The OEM screen is smaller and surrounds the headlight assy. Much like the Kawi ZRX screen.

The 1029 needs a trans undercut right now but ran a best of 10.11 on all motor with slick and bar. It's got one bad tooth on the crank gear that drives the clutch basket. It makes the engine have a ratcheting sound when running. It's never been an issue at all though. This engine also has ported heads (I believe the pistons are weisco). This engine made 133 rwhp.

The other 1029 engine has a lot more work done - Carrillo Rods, Ported Heads, Not sure on cams, Lockup Clutch, lower comp pistons, etc... This engine made 196 rwhp with the nitrous and 130's on engine alone. We've even got a set of flatslides for this engine (but haven't put them back on it awhile). Not sure what it makes with the flats on just engine.

You have options for radial conversions too. You can even bolt up a stock Vmax front end.

The easiest option for radials (I told kloker too which he did) is get an 89-mid 90's FZR600 front end with wheel and brakes (though r1 calipers will bolt on the fzr front), then get the rear wheel too with the FZR rear brake stay and spacer from the cush drive (chain) side. Cush drive is identical to Fazer so you don't need it if it's not already on the wheel you buy.

Then it all simply bolts up. Note both Fazer pics have these wheels. Total investment should be under $200 not counting tires (but you get lucky sometimes and get good tires on the wheels anyway).

The yellow Fazer has the FZR's clip'ons and a very custom tail section we made with custom solo seat. The red Fazer has the wheels on it in the picture. It's pretty much done with it's complete makeover too and now has the complete front headlight, riser, clamp, and crown parts from a Vmax on it as well as complete paint change.
