+1 Tom. I'm all for a pardon upon conditions. They, the Clinton's of course, never seeking public office again, for a pardon, is fine with me.
Steve-o

No more public office is a good start Steve-o....and maybe a couple more things like:

-bring back the rest of the White House furniture she stole
-pay some meaningful restitution to the women ******** Billy abused and hillary threatened to silence
-admit her wrongdoing in Benghazi and again dig some meaningful restitution from 'The Foundation' for the families of the men killed there
----and there's lots and lots more.

It serves no purpose putting her in jail, it'd just be some country club joint outside DC anyhow

No pardon. She was reckless with our national security. People are serving hard time for much less. Im in favor of her being dealt with just as you or I would have been had we done the things she had done. Giving her any tilt or privilege over her her last name should now be a thing of the past

I want full accountability!

I have made a couple positive observations, and some of it pertains to the Clintons. Obama and Clinton have IMHO both done great harm to our country, as you have so correctly noted. This is hard to deny regardless of what party you belong to. Clinton was poised to do even more. We stopped it, at what is possibly a really high price, but we stopped it. It was a bad thing and Americans finally put the skids on it. Because I'm a nurse I get many questions on how to deal with Obamacare, it stung a great many people. I'm damn lucky to still be covered from a previous contract or it would be a struggle for me too. I can only tell people that there is no good answer other than not voting for someone that will expand. In my estimation two things caused her to loose. Her threat to expand Obamacare, and having Obama campaign on her behalf. It was so bad that we actually choose Trump instead, which was a very risky move, and one that even I was prepared to make.

In any event we are here now, we have taken a massive gamble on trump. I hope for three things now.

1) Change and repeal of much of the damage of the last 8 years.
2) He doesnt get us killed or build the stupid ******* wall.
3) In 4 years we have better choices and end up with less of a divide.

I'm pretty sure when the dust settles and we look back on this mess we will have learned some valuable lessons. I want to reiterate my appreciation and respect for my counterparts here with differing political views. I hope that nobody felt disrespected when I expressed glee at Hillary's loss (not Trumps win). I think it's great that even a controversial election season like this one didn't reduce us to attacking each other.

EDIT: I just opened the news, violent protest and shootings. Disappointing, not unexpected but disappointing.

He already working on Damage control. If the previous administration Hadn't been so damn greedy this would be a lot less,Taking care of the elites big corp and a ton of other stuff. It was all about the elites,No one gave a **** about the people. It was by the grace of god that he won.And with that statement, Before everyone lines my *** up in front of a firing squad,Let's give him a chance not a big thing to ask.As far as the wall it was a promise made,And he should stick to it,To be honest we ain't got enough jobs to support our own,And the drug situation is out of control,America was gone ,He has a hell of a lot to do.The protest are just stupid, simple as that,No rhyme no reason not gonna do nothing but cause a disruption.Your first day of nursing school must have been like my first day at starting mechanic's.Didn't start out knowing it all.He don't either. Please give him the benfit of the doubt.I respect everyone's opinion here.Obamacare was gonna starve us all,Or at least a good portion of us.A war my god i hope not.It looks like america may have a chance.Ive seen so many factories close,And neighborhoods gone to hell,Homeless rise jobs disappear.Last year one of the guy's i went to school was found froze to death living in a box.In scoll he was voted most likley to succeed.Life turns on a dime,Anyway please give him a chance.

Why give him a chance? becuase for myself,I like having something to believe in,And i would like to believe in this country again. And with god's help i just hope he's up to the job.

While I do not believe in God, it was definitely some sort of grace that Hillary lost. I watched the whole thing and it sure seemed like there was a force that saved us from her against almost insurmountable odds.

Obamacare hurt many more than it helped. Even those with reasonable coverage could not afford to use it because of the co-pays and very lofty deductibles after paying the steep premiums, and was quickly getting worse. Forget that we were being HEAVILY fined for not buying the governments product/service, Just the idea that we would take a terrible thing that put the squeeze on so many people, and magnify it, wow! She had several other social programs that felt fantastic, but we couldn't afford. Her predecessor, and his before him made damn sure we couldn't afford really anything at all. Instead of trying to see how much free **** we can give away, maybe we should be putting some government branches and programs on the chopping block. We would all be fine if we reduced the size of gov by at least 50-70% and it would give us a sustainable way to eventually pay for all that irresponsible spending that already took place, assuming lack of a democratic leader racking up more insane debt that WILL have too ALL be paid back. All of it! This running the country with complete disregard to the deficit is insane. How can you possibly run a country without a sound budget. It's ******* madness.

I get that some voted for her knowing shes a ****, they just thought Trump was a bigger ****, maybe he is but time will tell. They are both ***** and I'll bet that an overwhelming % of Americans knew that regardless of which way they voted. I cant bash anyone that voted against Trump, there are so many fantastic reasons to absolutely hate him. He really is a disaster. I knew my state was very RED and I had the luxury of voting against both of these ***** without risking the South Dakota electoral points being given to Clinton.

This does come down to your last point, on which I will completely agree. The decision has been made. I despise the guy in huge ways but its time for the gloating and complaining to stop, time to focus on what comes next. He's in a position to do some good things so lets see how this plays out. If nothing else we can be optimistic about the Supreme Court nominee not being a liberal. Fingers crossed on all fronts!

Oh, one more thing. If he gets us all killed, everyone that voted for Trump is going to look pretty silly.:looser:

Don't look into the mushroom cloud!

I will try not to. I'm far enough inland that rather than a quick disintegration I'll bite it slowly with radiation sickness, like in one of those 1980s movies that came out back when we were scared of nuclear war with Russia.

Maybe while my hair is falling out I'll be thinking "Shoulda listened to Bill, Shoulda voted for Hillary" :clapping:

Trump= death by nuclear blast/fallout.
Clinton= death by waiting 18 months for an appointment with expanded Obamacare after a myocardial infarction. They will find your body when they show up to arrest you for not paying your premiums.

I hope you know I'm only messin' and trying to break the gloom.
Respectfully of course.

I perceive you as being pretty far from stupid. Further, I agree with you far more than I disagree with you. We dont match on the quality of this person but we both know that of what we had to choose from this is easily the better choice. I think it would be hard to deny that some of his statements are concerning. I'm going to be optimistic that you are still right and see what happens. I've been feeling pretty good since election day, I surprised myself by how ecstatic I was with the buildup and outcome.
Realistic expectations, cautious optimism.
