few question needed answered.please

Hello All,
A few questions that I need answered..
1) The crimp fix....is there an alternative? possibly a different way instead of soldering the crimp? maybe adding a new wire...don't know im just curious. point me to the link or right direction....

2) Regulator/rectifier.... Is there a direct fit to replace to the MOSEFT(SP?) one?.. point me to the link or right direction???

im about to fix my starter problem...new battery and Dingy's 4 gauge wire set removing the engine covers and seeing if I have cracked starter clutch housing... then the crimp fix....then the R/R....

I personally just go around the crimp use the late model RR in the stock location & put a 30 amp fuse inline & run the hot & ground strait to the battery.

is there a pic of the 30 Amp straight wire fix?....and you say late model...I have 97....

The late model regulator is from 96 & up so you should be good there. Just simply unhook the red wire from its connector solder a 30 amp fuse inline & run it strait to the positive battery post. Same with the black wire run it strait to the negative battery terminal
