At 32,000 miles I finally roasted my clutch last night after 9 passes at the strip.

Time to do the double D.

I've got the extra spring and plate, need the rest of the friction plates.

Who has the best price on Yamaha friction plates.

Thanks,

Rusty

Probably that new dealer that Sean Morley setup.

Otherwise, K&N and University.

I would check with Sean's newly found supplier... I'll try to dig up the info. and post it.

So how were your times?

Mark.... we muct have been typing at the same time...
anyway, here is the info.... let us know how things turn out.

Hello All!

I contacted one of my old vendors (not really sure why I quit using them other then some owner issues years back).

I am happy to say I have set us up with a nice discount on new OEM Yamaha parts like we used to get with the old U-Motors. The discount is roughly 15-18% over cost depending on the item. You will want to ask for Mark (parts manager) but I think he has us in the system so if he isn't there we can get the discount. Here's the info:

http://nmotion-powersports.com/

Nmotion Powersports
11414 East Central
Wichita, Kansas 67206
Phone: 316-683-3900
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm Central Time
Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm

Please do not email mark using the nmotion email. Use this email to contact him: [email protected]

He probably doesn't have the stuff on hand like U-Motors did, but as he sees what we are going to be ordering I am sure he will start to stock more stuff for faster shipping. Give him a call and thank him for allowing us the discounts and appreciate him as a new vendor. Better yet, order something from him and get your bike ready for the season!

I am sure Paul and Venus will get the official info up to date for the club too when they get a chance.

Thanks guys, I forgot about that post. I'll give him a call.

So how were your times?

My first run was an 11.48

I thought I heard what sounded like the engine overunning the speed I was going and figured it was the clutch.

The second run sounded slightly worse, my trap speed was about the same but the 60' time was slower.

I figured what the hell, I'm at the track anyway and might as well conitinue practicing my launch so just kept at it.

Each run was consecutively slower, Although my technique and reaction times were improving, had to run a pro-tree since that's what all the sport/drag bike guys were using.

My last pass was an 11.94

Good news,

I got my bike down to 570lbs according to the scales, if they're right....????

Better news, the Bandido's were there with a full out Harley Drag bike that sounded extremely bad-***, Like the kind that would just kill me,

I think they had just stolen it and didn't know what they were doing because I beat him all three times we came up together.
