Not perfect but will only be seen through the vents on the sides of the dummy tank.
Made 'angle' to support the morley type filter.

After you do your final gel coat it will still look better than the best 4d carbon fiber vinyl wrap applications, its the loose fibers and swirls under the resin look, real bike owners will know just what a challenge it can be working with resin and fibers.
Using marine grade resin?
 
Its normal fiberglass resin with UV clearcoat in a can
The carbon on my xjr was done same way and was still good after 2 yrs....the bought part went yellow.

Used the stock bottom silicone on.....

This is cool. People will appreciate the effort to use the real stuff way more than hydrographics or dinoc. There's a guy on advrider that's covering his whole gs in carbon fiber one panel at a time. I would love to try it, but I know I'd just make a huge mess.
