first vmax..radiator question

Purchased my first vmax its a 2004 model. After going over the bike I now see that it has a different radiator than is stock on. It has a radiator cap on it as well as the stock one behind the side scoop. My problem is that it is not utilizing the overflow tank at all, and the line from the aftermarket radiator is just venting to the ground. Should I try to connect both lines to reserve tank, swap them around or buy another radiator. Any help would be appreciated.

If the original vent hose is still connected then why don't you blank off the one from the radiator?

Can you take pictures of your rad? Very interesting to find an aftermarket item on an '04..

There may be a reason it's not utilizing the puke tank? I would, I think, connect the overflow to it, but then again why isn't in the first place? A picture tells 1000 words, so it may help to see the things to decide what's best.
