Flywheel differences

What are the differences between the actual flywheels (early vs late models). If i have the early electronics why can't the late model flywheel be used?

The early model max used 2 pick up coils & the later only use 1 pickup so the sencor's on the fly wheel are spaced different.

Yep, protrusions completly differ.

Old one has two large protrusions spaced approx 180 degrees
and newer has more and spaced differently. Also older is havier.
