Does anyone know roughly how much oil each front fork should take? I'm gonna change my seals this week and want to be prepared. Also any recomendations on oil type? Thanks.

I don't fill by volume. I measure off the top of the fork and suck out any excess. Motion Pro makes a tool for this but I use a straight tube and my brake bleeder.

Not sure what the level is but check out the manual and it'll tell you.

You can find it in the VMF links area.

Mmeasure 4.8 inches from a clear piece of tubing. Line that mark with the top of the fork and suck excess until you get it all. Make sure the springs and spacer are removed. Make sure you get all the old oil out by pumping the forks several times.

Oh and I also clean my forks whilst having them apart... I use NON-chlorinated brake clean. (non is KEY) and I completely clean them until spotless.

What sux about non-chlorinated is that it doesn't clean as well and takes longer although it's "healthier".
