I'm getting ready to buy tires for my new wheels. I now I'm going with a 180/55-18 radial out back. Any one that's done this has any input on a front tire size in a radial tire.

My options are pretty much

130/70-18

130/60-18

120/70-18

Thanks,

Rusty

Your missing some info here... I believe your rear wheel is either a 17 or 18 inch right?

What is the width of your front wheel? 2.5 or 3.5?

If it is the stock width 2.5" I would go with the 110/80/18 if it's the 3.5 I would use the 120/70/18 and I did...:coolgleamA:

130 is stupid big and would look like schitt imho and may rub the fender tabs...

I ordered new front and rear 18's; 3.5" in front and 5.5" in back.

I have previously run a 130/90 in front on the stock rim and it fit just fine but I think that was due to the narrow stock rim pulling in the carcass to something narrower than it would be if it was on the recommended rim width for a 130.

Thanks,

Rusty

i think even the 100/80 or 90 fits very good and even brings the speedo closer to accurate.

I like the sportbike width of 120. The bike turns in totaly different but now that I'm used to it, it's all good...:thumbs up:
130 is getting into bagger territory...:surprise:
