garage remote hooked to headlight mod

you use a keychain remote and hook it up to your hibeam to open and close the garage.
WELL...I updated my garage opener to a Chamberlain model security + system....only problem is the remotes I have come across are 3volt batteries!
cant user them can you?

You can go to radio shack and pick up a little voltage regulator and solder it inline.

Between the power from the bike and the power to the remote. I used one of these a while back to share the power from an 18vdc paintball hopper to a 6vdc electropnumatic paintball gun I put together for a customer. Worked flawless.

I ran out to the garage, where I have some of my old paintball parts from when I had the shop, to see if I hand any extra to send you. but wouldn't find any.

thats ok....cheap enough....I noticed they have 3 prongs....did I see that right?

Yup, + and +out w/ new voltage and adjust. if my memory serves me right. You can also get a non adjustable version.
