In Gen 1 you could use final drive oil drain plug in motor too, is this possible with Gen 2 too? Those aftermarket plugs has so short threads, that I’m worried of stripping threads from engine with those.
Also, it states on service manual that drain plug should be tightened to 45 Nm (33 ft lb), that is tight! I didn’t got nerve to turn that that tight, left it 30 Nm and even that is way tighter than what I’m used to. This was first time I used torque wrench on oil drain plug, usually just turn them ” snug” and never had a problem. Do you guys tighten these to factory spec?
