Does anyone have pics of there windshield and what kind they are.. Going to do some touring and need to get one but hard to decide without seeing one on the bike

Yamaha/star looks the best and might work out better at high speeds. JMO.

Thanks a lot, that's the first pic I have seen with the touring shield on the bike... Looks good! Now if I could just find some saddle bag pics I'd be set!!!

I think you can get oem bags that match the oem sceen. I like the screen to be tinted.

So one of my first accessories is going to be a shield of some sort, anybody have experience with this one, or maybe a picture of it mounted on a bike? That Yamaha shield just seems to be a "wee bit" big for me, although I'm sure it works well. I found this one on eBay, smaller of course, just hoping for some feedback, or some other ideas, doesn't seem to be a large selection on the Bay right now.

Spotted this one too:

I couldn't find one that I cared for at all....and considering the price I decided to just fit this old Memphis Shades shield I've been running for years....not great but it was basically free and works well.

I've actually got a couple "old school" shields in the garage, but don't think I can bring myself to mounting one on this particular bike. Yours doesn't look bad though Danny!

What is the size of the Boulevard windshield? I think 12" would be a great height. that one looks a little small. Can you post some pics after you get it installed? As cool as the bike looks without it, it really needs something to keep some of the wind away during hard acceleration.

I bought the Puig windshield from monsterparts.com. I'll post pics after I receive it and install.

It doesn't help much, but it does protect the gauges so it's worth it just for that. I think it's better than nothing, and I just couldn't get over the "look" of the bigger screens, I think this one is a good compromise.

I am trying to find more feedback on the moto works. I contacted the company in Japan still waiting for a response. The feedback on the starvmax forum is positive. Not a big fan on the carbon finish, plain black would be perfect for my 2009 :eusa_dance:

Installed the new PUIG windshield. I took it for a ride and it deflects the wind very nicely and even looks like it belongs.

That's the one I have on my bike. It dies shit for wind protection. It looks good though and I think really compliments the bike.

It's actually better than nothing, mine seems to just push through the air and keep going at highway speeds, don't ever feel like the wind is a factor. Maybe since I'm such a short guy, it helps? I love mine! :punk:

I'm going with this one, did a quick search on Google and that part number is the same for the Boulevard, found one on sale at a dealership in Georgia for $250 shipped. :punk:

There is one for sale $175 new http://www.starvmax.com/kunena/32-us-west-coast/187058-new-windscreen

I am not buying it because I ordered the Moto-Works one from Japan. Still couple of weeks away ...
