I think a movie on this guy would make a really interesting movie. He has an interesting story. Makes you wonder if they would have listened to him, Pearl Harbor might have had a different story.

"Billy Mitchell?" Never heard of him!

It only took until after WW II that they decided the USAAF should be its own branch. They should have paid more attention to the father of military aviation.

His tactics of aviation bombing were widely-ridiculed by naval admirals, who believed their biggest battleships were invulnerable, until Billy Mitchell showed them what could happen to a WW I captured German battleship attacked by an aerial bombardment.
