Well it looks like my working on bikes at home will be limited since I landed a real job at one of the local Harley dealers. I start there at the first of the year should be plenty of work there.LOL

Good to hear.... a H-D mechanic is probably one of the most secure jobs out there! :rofl_200:

At least the mechanics don't have to deal with customers constantly getting you to "rush" their job because they "really need it" for this weekend. I did this with boats over the summer... about 50% of calls I answered were some guy who dropped his boat off with an overheated, warped head yesterday wondering if it was ready yet. Of course they add that they'd really like to have the boat for this weekend because they have company coming. Of course when they hear that isn't going to happen... *bleep* *bleep* you *bleeping* *bleeps*....you get the idea. The service manager has to deal with them, which likely explains why they are always in bad moods.

Congrads Kyle ! - Is it the one here on US19 or in St Pete or on SR 54 ? No matter to me - just curious. I've seen you swing a wrench - they are getting a great employee ! I know several of us here appreciate the tech day you put on at your house. When you get your mobile dyno up & running I have several peeps at work who will be seeking your help. Happy Holidays to you & your wife. ( and attack dogs ) LOL :biglaugh:

Congrats man!!!! That is great news with this economy! I even got a few calls from my old engineering company about a few potential opportunities! A lot of older people think the worst is yet to come, but I have seen signs of new growth, but it is way too early to tell if this is just a short period of growth before it falls more.

Thanks all ! & its Gulf coast Harley on 54 & happy holidays back to you & your family. I had a little mishap yesterday with some one pulling in front of me laid the bike over ( my bosses bike at my current part time job) bike is fine except for a bent shifter & broke mirror & little scratch on exaust but I think my freakin collar bone is broke.

Damn Kyle, must be something in the water - I almost bought it last night myself. I'm sitting at a red light when a BMW came past me in the left lane trying to beat the yellow light for a left turn - it head-oned with an SUV. The unconcious BMW driver must have bumped the shifter into reverse & had the accelerator pinned to the mat - here it comes RIGHT AT ME ! I hit the throttle & dumped the clutch & launched out of the way at the last second. The Beemer then slams into the F150 that was sitting behind me. I should have stayed & been a witness, but I was too shook up - rode straight home.
I'm glad your at Gulf Coast - I know a lot of Harley people & they ALL love that store over the others. It's a busy shop from what I hear. Sorry about the collar bone - hope it's only sore & not really broke. Stay safe...
