Got my new Metzlers on the bike today!! 120 on the front & 170 out back. They look great. Can't wait to get some miles on them. I hope to have them broken-in in time for the Brownie Run........

Two things......

One:
You guys didn't have to take off your rear fenders to stuff that 170 in there?!?!?.....I did.........

& Two:
What tire pressures are you running?? The guy that mounted them told me to run them at 42 front & back. I usually run 34F & 38-40R (by the book). He says 42 in the front will lesson cupping......What do you guys think....

That 170 looks much better (fatter) than the 150!!

Later.

No, just take off license plate bracket, raise bike and make sure no air in tire.

I RUN 33 LBS. FRONT & REAR , THATS MY LUCK NUMBER & IT RIDES GREAT ! AND ON A BIKE , YOU NEED SOME LUCK !...:punk: 4,600 MILES & NO SIGN OF CUPPING !

Same here 33# front & back. Seems like 42# prolly would help with cupping issues, but it's gotta ride like a lumber wagon, and reduce traction in the rain.

Higher tyre pressures are preferred in the wet. It helps clear the water between the tyre and the road.

If you want traction in the wet - slow down.

120 in the front, 170 on the rear both ME880's. I did not put the rear tire on but I don't think they swapped the washer in the rear. I've had the front wheel off and it goes off and on without issue. There's about 4200 miles on these tires and they are still in great shape.

Was gonna run the metzler 170 rear, but I chickened out at the last minute and went for the stock 150 size....great tires, you will love them!! Hoping the rear will wear out quick, so I can go 170!!! I run 36lbs rear, 33 front.

Looks like Grimmie was able to post a pic........no I didn't swap the washer and seems to be fine........the front "just" fits in there and the rear is a nice fit...........50-60 miles on them and they're EXCELLENT so far.........needs a wash before the Brownie run and will try to get some pics at that point.......

Here's some pics of the new tires. I have a couple hundred miles on them now and LIFE IS GOOD!!

New Meztlers on, front and back. Put 650 miles on them last weekend. No washer swap for the 170 size, 110 up front.
So far I like them very much. I can get the rear to break loose about the same as the Stock rear.

No. It's a Tracy Streetfighter. Bought it around '87. I've tried searching out for replacement parts to no luck so far. I need a few parts for repairs. I'll have to take a few shots and then post them ASAP.
