H-D Sportster bags will they fit a VMax?

Sorry for the intrusion, Just a quick question, Don't berate me for asking it here, I just don't wanna create a separate thread for this. Can we use a harley 883 hard saddlebag on a Vmax?? A friend of mine asking for my harley hard saddlebags(Viking Lamellar Raven Extra Large Shock Cut-out Leather Covered Motorcycle Hard Saddlebags for Harley Sportster 883 Iron XL883N) for a ride but I am not sure if the bags can be installed on the V, I mean are the holes even at the same spot as the harley? Dont want to get more holes in the bag so just asking if anyone has ever done that. Are the holes of both bikes in the same spot?

Throw the bags on the 'Max and see what needs to be done to fit them.

Yeah, tried but can really get the shock cutout managed. Had to settle for a throwover bag.
