H- PIPE 4 into 2 exhaust

would like to know why no aftermarket exhaust company, adds the pipe to connect the two front cylinder exhaust pipe for scanvenging and build some torque. the H - PIPE comes stock from yamaha but nobody puts them on after market exhaust, some slip-ons have the H- PIPE after all 4 cylinders, the H-pipe works at low to mid rpm's at high rpm's it does nothing, just seems that there is a loss of power if it is not there

Most full systems do have cross over pipes. Just in a different spot.

I need to watch how i word this because the last time i got equesed of trying to say the ufo exhaust is biue printed like a balanced and blue printed engine and that was not what i was saying even though jon did do a great job at making sure that all the clearance gaps are as tight as anyone could get them. when i say Jons UFO exhaust is blueprinted for the vmax engine what im saying is Jon/UFO did alot of research and design on not only how the engine scavange exhaust and helps build hp but also how cool in temp. and how clean it would be after its installed. I talked with jon about why he did not put a h-pipe in his system and he schooled me on how the engine fires at 90/90/90 and 500 and something so the best way to make hp and scavenge with a vmax engine is to cross the pipes from one side of the engine to the other. I talked to jon on vmax exhaust a long time ago and im not a motorcyle exhaust specialist but i did do my home work before i paid $1000 for a system and i can tell you that Jon/UFO did alot more home work than i did and my 10000 mile pipes still look new. here are some pics of my exhaust after 10000 miles and i still need to pollish them. I did get cought in the rain a few times last year. I also maid sure you could see how nice and tight the exhaust is and how nice the bends are.

They do look very good.

I wish he would have as good a job on the early Gen 2 pipes......you can't hardly give those away if you have a used set. He took everyones money upfront, and delivered crap many months late.

And then of course copped an obnoxious attitude as he always does when he screws something up.....he can't ever admit to being wrong.

I have not seen any magical numbers out of his systems. Highest HP we have recorded on a stock bike (the same one in fact) was with a Marks System as well as a Kerker (both made 133 rwhp). I still would like to test back to back systems on the same bike at some point. The only REAL way to know.

Im not saying Jon has the most hp exhaust or will be your best friend and yes we all know he can be a ***. And so can all of us. You cant falt the man for being good at what he does. I dont own a gen 2 so i dont know the gen 2 exhaust that well but Jon/Ufo would be the first i would talk to. broock is another i would look at. and im sure i could look at others. maybe next year. I hope all of you gen 2 guys find a great system. Before you buy one ask the owner what makes your exhaust so great. How does it work with the engine and than read on the forum and see what you think. do your home work and do whats best for you.
