I stripped the reflector frame & it was chrome underneath. So Yamaha must have made all of them like this, from 85 to 05/ 06 & 07 may be different. Why did they pant them:ummm: Go to my ebay link if your interested in the items shown:biglaugh:

Carb spray works great per Sean. I sprayed a rag with a good amount and than a quick coat on the part and rubbed most of it off than i kept the rag wet and lightly rubbed the rest off. Sean was right it came off easy. When i was done i set the rag on the concrete in a safe area and burned it.

Can someone tell me why nothing is working on mine? Tons of carb cleaner and tons of scrubbing but nothing!

How would one know whether thiers is chrome or not before stripping it down? Is there a certain marking on the chrome ones or any other indicator?

I had 3 that came out chrome, and 1 that didn't:confused2:
