..ever tried making the side faux air intakes into real ones? Possibly mod?ing the filter box to accept air passage intake hoses, fabricating a ?ram-air? system like found on some early muscle cars, out of stock parts?
Just wonderin??

There ya go! Dead on point...

Thanks for that link, will be doing a follow up later today.... The VMOA has my attention, will likely be signing up soon. Anything I can do to learn as much as possible.

They'd have to go aways to beat this place for good tech tips and help though!

Take care, Philthy

I would like to keep the scoops the same, but modify the faux cover and add scoops at the front/top of it. Similar to the attached pictures. It would be interesting to do some testing with a monometer (stock vs modified) and see where it ends up. I think it will be a little difficult to get it tuned, but it is something I plan on messing with. Something else that psople have shown me are louvers on the top of the faux tank directly over the air box. I'll try to post a pic if I can find one.

Update: Here is a pretty good link that talks a little more about the air box and air restriction... http://vmaxoutlaw.com/tech/airbox_mods.htm
