I took off the headlight assembly a few months ago when I started to try to retrofit the M109R2 headlight. I don't remember if there are side brackets, or if it's just the bottom bracket to hold the original headlight in place. :ummm:

If there are, I must have misplaced them. I checked the fiche (page 43) and it does not show any. Will someone please help refresh my obviously geriatric memory?

Thank you!

A little triangle shaped bracket holds the top of the headlight shell w/a bolt from inside the shell.

I'm looking at my old headlight assembly and I do not see how it would attach. Perhaps mine did not have this, could that be possible?

Take a look at an electrical fiche or whatever shows the headlight shell. One end has a solid round metal dowel w/a hole thru it for the bolt. See the rubber grommit in the back of the headlight shell? The dowel part of the metal bracket goes into that grommet & the bolt is attached from inside the shell. The dowel is threaded. The bracket bolts to the other pieces in front of the steering head.

Ahhh, OK, I remember now. It won't help me mount the new headlight, that's for sure! Thanks for the FAST help! :punk:

Here is a bad picture but it shows the bolt at the back of the shell, and it looks like it bolts up to the bottom of the top triple tree. Anyway here you go:
