hella horn wiring diagram and relay question

I want to go with the Hella dual horn set up...does any one have a wiring diagram to hook up two horns with a relay?

Can I use this relay (in pic)...I have a box of these relays....it has 30, 85,86 ,87 and 87a..if so , how would I wire this up to a two horn set up? What gauge wires and what amp fuse for the relay?

Hey Tony,

I don't have an actual diagram but it's pretty simple - I'll try to explain:

- yes you can use the relay in your picture
- connect the wire currently going to your horn to 85, and 86 to the earth
- connect a wire from your battery + to a fuse, and then on to 30 on your relay
- connect 87 to your horns (make a Y-split) and the other terminal on the horns (if they have two) to the earth (chassis)

To determine the fuse rating and wire gauge you need to look at what power the horns actually draw. Usually a 10A fuse is enough, and 2mm wire is plenty.

That standard diagram is available with a quick google search all over this interweb thingy. Should have been a paper copy in the pkg with the relay too.
