You could checkout Exactrep's website. Their kits will run ya around $6,000 though... there are less expensive options but not by as much as you would hope. The Exactrep one is rather nice though... and their single sided clear diff cover 330 kit is pure motorcycle porn... and the price of it will make your head spin!

Here is a link to exactrep which sells a kit. It is a UK based company. I couldnt find a 250, this is for a 280. Hopefully you realize to really install anything past a 180....maybe a 190, will take a modified swing arm?

I just got done doing a conversion using the gen 2 swingarm on a gen 1. This should allow for a 240 tire like they are able to use. Still not super cheap but not as much as those other setups.

Well anything wider will cost you money. I have an RC wheel (Rc is the company) it is an 18 inch wheel, (instead of the stock 15 inch) Having it cut, painted, bearings, shipped to the house was about 1200 dollars.

I'm not trying to dissuade you....just letting you know what the options are. Some people have taken a Vrod wheel, and cut it so that it would fit a Vmax

I have a swingarm, diff, and axle already. Think I have the brake caliper and stay too. So, you'd need to provide a wheel to complete the mod (once we got done making the conversion to the swingarm).

Last I looked, it was $6k for a 250 conversion but remember he is supplying front and back wheels too. Personally I don't see a reason for 300 + rears but accept that it is personal preference. The gear drive thing is something else and I'd rather much have a chain drive set up mostly due to weight, complexity and reliability issues.
In the end it's about wallet size and personal taste.

My machinist can make one in 6" or whatever you want, I assume you want 17" dia.? The one I have right now for sale is 5.5" X 17". I had it made by my machinist for a VMax.

You will need a wider swingarm for the 6" or > 200+ series tires.
