Here is how I jack up my front end and support the bike, in conjunction with the center stand to keep the bike stable while wrenching on it.

Here is a scissor jack that I purchased at Walmart for $20 and I welded on the U bracket to cradle oil pan.

Shown with jack in place on oil pan.

My supporting stand that goes under the rear tire

With the front end jacked up and while the bike is on the center stand, The rear tire is on the support stand. With a couple of ratchet straps, the bike is well supported for any wrenching. Works quite well and is cheap to make.
(sorry for the huge taillight, that keeps you from seeing more:BigGrin:)

Nice idea, im doing exactly the same. Upper part of that jack fit perfectly into
oilpan. Its ok for some minor repair but its not that steady, huh?
I was thinking myself about recounstuct that scisor jack to something diffrent but that is just an idea.

Silly question.
Your from USA and i can see 1,5 TON and not lbs? :ummm:

Correct, the jack by itself is okay for minor repair. but if I am going to do anything more then I will use the rear support.

I think in the US they will put "tons" on something to give the illusion to the consumer that it is something heavy duty. 1.5 tons sounds better then 3000 lbs.

I guess your right :)

I gonna get rid of my centerstand and i must fabricate rear jack anyway.
I can buy one but paying 40$ for 4 pieces of steel? Nahhh its to easy and no fun this way :rofl_200:
