How can I tell ?

My 93 max has super trapps on it & I am wondering how I can tell if I have a stage kit or what stage kit it has if any? The guy I baught the bike from knew nothing about it someone owed him lots of cash & he took the bike in trade & I have been waiting weeks for the guy I got the bike from to get me the other owners name & number so I can get some background on the bike. Oh it does have a k&n filter stock air box . Thanks so much guys ..

If your bike has the original air box on it, than you don't have the stage 7 kit installed. You could have the Stage 1 kit installed but you would have to dig into your carbs to tell that. The easiest way to tell would probably be to pull the carb slides out and check your needles. Otherwise, you would be looking for jetting that is other than stock.

I removed slides & did the shotgun repair but I didnt do anything w/ the needles just main ,pilot jet I also had both right side air screws siezed but w/ time & patiance I did get them to turn so now I am deciding if I should remove them (all 4 ) & reinstall but back to question what do I look for on the needles spacers part #s? Thanks

Stock jets are fixed. Stage 1 / 7 have a clip for height adjustment.

Stage 1 would suck, modified stock setup is way better.

If you go to the Carb section, there is sticky near the top of the page which shows the differences between all the available needles.

ok well I got my right side screws out of carb now for some reason the right side is popping if I decelerate on the rpms coming down. Any idea ?
