I decided to take a speed run today after work.
I went to a four lane highway where i never see cops clocking people on this straight away up a mile long hill.

So i cranked it up to 135, passing cars like they are standing still. :rocket bike:I crested the hill and let off the gas and started back at my cruising speed .

About a half mile later i look in my mirrors and theres a cop right on my *** with his lights on.
Now the first thing i'm thinking is, oh no:hitsfan:

Well I immediately pull over, shut the max off and take off my helmet. Just about that time i'm thinking , Oh **** if he clocked me at that speed i'm in some serious trouble:jail:

The cop walks up to me and say's "you in a hurry"?
I said kinda, why was i speeding officer?:whistlin:
He said yes you were!
I said well how fast was i going?
He said i clocked @ 66mph in a 55 zone.
I'm thinkin to myself , thank God!
He then looked at my inspection and said it ran out last october. I thought i was good till this october.

Any way he asked for my liscense and insurance.
And he also asked if i had any points on my liscense?
I said i didn't think so cause i haven't had a ticket in years.

He went back to his car, came over to me and handed me my liscense back and said "get that thing inspected and slow down".
I said yes sir, and thankyou for the warning...

Wow, luck was on my side today.
Has anyone here been pulled over speeding in the triple digits? I wonder what would have happened if he clocked me @ 135?

You're a ****! :bang head: :biglaugh::rofl_200:

I would have so gotten hit for 135... :bang head:

Congrats Bill...

I think here they would pull your license for 6 months not to mention the fine..unless you have clear vision (no hills) I would be reluctant to take it up to that speed around here

cop clocked me last yr on mine doing 96...... gave me the ticket for 75 in a 65...... he said when I blew past him, he was like "wholly ****, he's movin"....lol
I had JUST started backing down from a full throttle , as I call it "2 wheel energy boost".....(taking it up to approx. 130-140 then back down)....LOVE that burst of speed....lol
cost me 145.00 ..... cop told me if he wrote it for the 96, he could yank my license right then and there.

We have a nice 3 mile or so section of road with with no side road access and 30 - 35 feet clear of the edge of the road that I like to use. The tourist are almost gone now so I will be checking the top end really soon.:rocket bike:

about 7 weeks or so ago before i left home to come out west, i got popped doing 67 in a 25.

I was riding my bike home from our shop about 45 miles from where i live. Traffic on the highway was so insane that i couldnt pass a big line of cars going 55. I decided to cut through the country back home. When i got to town i was still on a road with a 50mph speed limit going id say 70. Some ***** in a truck pulled out in front of me and i had to emergency brake the hardest ive had to yet, front tire skipping back tire sliding it scared the **** out of me. Of course i was PISSED the dude almost killed me so i hammered it and kicked his truck as i flew around him. Right as i passed him it turned into city road with a 25mph limit. I had her wound up as i came in and ran straight into a cop with his radar on. Just my luck. I could have easily hauled *** out to a friends house in the country and probably got away with it but i would have had to get back on the highway to cross a bridge and figured i woulda killed myself in the process so i just pulled over. Dude wrote me up for 64 in a 25 (39 over) because anything 40mph over the limit and above is wreckless driving and i woulda went to jail. also flame away but i didnt have any insurance, and was still riding on my permit without another rider so i got popped for no insurance and wrong class of license. Needless to say im ******.

Have court at the end of september for it, must appear :(

edit: the cop seen the whole thing happen too, he was a **** at first but then changed to asking questions about the bike and of course i was wearing my VMF tshit lol

Stop being a lazy **** then and go get your full. I can understand riding around down here on a big bike with only a learner licence but that's cause you have to take 3 years going through learner/restricted before the government thinks you have enough experience to handle a large capacity bike. In the states where you can get your permit and full on the same day there really is no excuse for it.

i was wearing my VMF tshit lol
Come on now man they can't be that bad.

A few years ago I took my friend for a ride on his (My Old) 99 Busa that he was scared to death of...he wanted to see what it would do on open road, and had not the balls to do it.

Traveling on I-64 east between Winchester and Mt. Sterling I kicked her around the 98 mile marker, and soon we were cruising around 155 mph. Seconds later (BLUE LIGHTS) about 1/4 mile ahead in the I-64 West bound lane! My heart fell into my stomach like never before.

I said f@ck and grabbed a handful, after making a bad decision now realized (???). I immediately looked into my left mirror to see the State Boy completing his u-turn, and his strobes less than 100 feet behind us. Then I looked back at the Speedo (now reading 163 mph), and then back into the left mirror, now, I'm barely able to see his strobes in the distant background…all this in less than 3 seconds.

Hauled @ss to the 101 exit and killed the bike while we coasted about ? mile into a neighbors driveway on the parallel service road. About 30 seconds later we both watched in amazement as the State Boy passed by on I-64 at normal speed with his lights off.

Sure got the blood pumping, but, I would not advise this to anyone!

Bill...you're very lucky!

lol....I remember those days....out running the local pigs :)
I used to crest the hill by my grandmothers, cut out in back of the local farmers mart and thru the pine trees to her house..... cut the motor and coast to her patio.
Going home, take it up to 60....cut the motor and cruise with no lights til I was almost stopped....start it back up and take it to 60 again....and repeat....lol..... one night I seen a SHITLOAD of locals, counties and state boys searching the railroad tracks for me....hehehe....took me 2 hrs. to get back to my brothers house, which normally took me 15 min..... never got caught tho.....thank God.... no ins. ,switched plates and driving out of class!
Things you do when you're young and dumb!

Friday afternoon, going about 85 in the fastlane on I-5 just past Stockton CA, a ****** old car with about 700 bumperstickers on a bumper only equipped to handle 200 pulls in front of the truck that I am behind.:bang head: We drive for about a mile and the guy in front of me is getting pissed at bumpersticker lady. He tries to pass a couple times on the right but doesn't make it. So he slows down and stays in the right lane. I figured he was just resigned to driving 60 with everyone else. So now its my turn. I check my mirrors (vibrating a little) Behind me is a large dark blue sedan. At the time I remember thinking that it was wierd that the other guy just pulled into the middle lane and didn't get back into the fast lane.:ummm:
So anyway, I back up a little and the next small gap I get I hammer down. I kicked it up to almost 105 at which point I am well ahead of bumpersticker lady with a clear lane for miles it seems. I look back in my mirrors to chuckle to myself and call her a ******* and I see the dark blue sedan behind her looking impatient. He's off to the left on the inner shoulder and seems to be looking at me:rocket bike: right when I looked I see blue and reds light up in his windshield. I thought I was done. Everybody backs off and gives him plenty of room. Even bumpersticker lady finally gets over. I went ahead and got over into the middle lane and prepared to pull over. To my surprise the cop stays behind bumpersticker lady and follows her to the shoulder. I chuckled in a rare satisfaction and kicked it back up to 85.
