I'm out in Anahaiem ca. on vacation right now while the wife is out here on Business...

I just went and talked my way into a short test ride on a Husky TE 510 SM......

250lbs and about 60 HP,this thing is unfreakin' beleievable........

I see one in my near future.....no bike ever asked to be ridden so stupidly as this one.....i love it..........zero comparison to any other enduro/SM i've test ridden so far, which has been quite a few lately......

I hear you on that.... I have the venerable old Honda 500, but the new bikes have insane power to weight ratio. My old Honda can wheelstand in 2 gears even at this elevation. They do trade some torque for HP in the new bikes. I like my old XL for it's broad, useful trail-riding torque. My nephew's Kawi 400 will beat my XL in a race but there isn't a comparison in torque. I'd probably get a new dirt bike and just gear it down so it is wound up at 60 instead of 85.....
