So this is what the machinist and the mechanic are working upon, besides other things.

It's a Marine crankshaft, Carillo rods +5 mm stroke, and a $$$ cyl. head w/ +1 mm valves, and heavily-reworked. Should be a bit above 1500 CC. Yes, also a heavy hit of NOS.

Clutch is a single-stage lockup by Exotic Cycles.

There's an Orlando FL drag race this weekend, and a gal that has set records from this shop is gonna ride another bike, a Hyabusa new build, 3 stages of NOS, water/methanol injection, & a load of electronics to run the thing. It's the bike's maiden voyage.

Lots of rain is forecast, not good for the meet racers.

The Hayabusa is a legendary platform for going fast.
They can be built fairly inexpensively and even stock internals are good for almost 300 HP.
