Has anyone ran a shinko 120 on the front with stock rims ? do they fiT ok, do they run ok? DO THEY CAUSE A FRONT END WOBBLE ???

Re: I guess I need to ask the question more specific

I'm running the 110, it (obviously) fits just fine and most definitely did not cause a wobble on mine. If anything, it helped removing it after dumping that crap old Dunlop Qualifier I had on before.
As it's getting worn though, I have been noticing a little wobling at low speed (30-40mph) if I take my hands off the bars. But then again, who rides with no hands!?

From what I know, everyone else running the 120 has fitted it with no problems whatsoever.

Re: I guess I need to ask the question more specific

they fit perfectly fine, and like i said Ron. first one i had had visible runout, had a decent wobble (with hands off bars). second 120 had no visible runout and i could not introduce a wobble. now after it sitting all winter, i can see some runout and i have a tiny wobble.

when i say wobble i'm saying usually i have to be in 2nd or 3rd gear, do an engine decel and take my hands off the bars. sometimes i even have to hit the bars to introduce it.

I've got a 120 shinko up front and haven't had any issues with it

Different bike react differently to tires. 10 bikes may work perfectly with any given tire and the 11th one might wobble like crazy!

My bikes had identical tires, the '99 handles like it's on rails, I had to remove the front Shinko from the '06 cause it wobbled so bad!

There are no gaurantees.

No wobbles , but I don't have the confidence in the tire makers consistency to run 'em again on the Max. A pro friend did some serious track testing time with a GSXR 1000 superbike setup. Because of a serious lack of consistency, 3 laps was all it took with them compared to prior runs and later runs with different brands on the same bike. He said they scared him ! Now we don't run 'em like he does , but .........

i got a 120 avon on mine(thanks kratz for reminding me) i forgot 110 is stock, anyways fits fine, no wobbles what so ever, dont find much difference then the 110 metz i got on other bike except looks cool filling up the fender. But like dan-o says each bike will react differently. I'd say go try it see what you think?

just curious what size was your buddy running? same as the max.

I have a 120 Shinko on mine with no issues. I even forgot to balance it when I mounted it up.

This is the problem we have seen with Chinese and Korean welding wire. One lot will be great and the next total garbage.

It's different with M/C tires IMO. You have two that you rely on... I'll pay a few bucks for my personal POM.
