So I drilled out my brass plugs and instead of a screw it looks like I have a brass plug with a hole in the center of it. I know I didin't hit the screw with the drill bit because I was able to pull the plug out almost intack. Anyone seen this?

You can actually buy the brass plugs from Yamaha so it could be possible that someone before you did the damage. Pics?

That is what my carbs bress plugs looked like, brass with a centered tiny hole. I wonder if your's were doubled up from the factory?:ummm:

can you smelllll............. what the ROCK is COOKING????????

hahahha
hopefully its another plug and not a drilled screw, but should be able to thread in something to turn it out(left hand bit) or send it to sean to help you out.

that sounds exactly what the oem plug is like.

+1, mine are plugged. looks like you may have been drilling in the wrong area. Garret is right on the rubber plugs.
Looks like they've already been drilled and plugged up by the prev owner.

Behind the circles in the pics are the a/f screws.

Yep, normal brass plug covers outer purge jet. Mikuni has those ports to drill the passageways and then plugs them back up.

Sorry man, you have screwed the pooch........

Get ahold of Sean Morley on this forum, he should be able to help you out of this jam......

good thing it looks like he just drilled the plug and not anything else. probably gotta pull the plug and re-press one in. or figure out how to seal it back up..

A little dab of JB weld or the like should do the trick.

i would agree. or even some silicone probably if you wanted to make something thats removable. just make sure it dries completely before u run the bike eh?

Thanks guys I really feel like a dumb a--. I always learn the hard way!!

Look on the bright side, at least you stopped and questioned it. Some might have kept drilling.
