Jump start w/o battery?

Is it safe to start a Vmax with a car battery and cables without a bike battery at all?

I have done such things before
You will need to make up a HEAVY lead set, with terminals one end that you can bolt to the Vmax terminals, and clips on the other end to fit to the battery, obviously long enough to reach.
Ensure the Vmax's terminals cannot touch eachother or the frame, particularly the positive terminal.
That should allow you to do what you need to do, however limit use of starter to short bursts, checking lead temperature as you go..
